Sensei Rick Wolslayer

Sensei Wolslayer began studying Nihon Goshin Aikido, training with Sensei Robert B. MacEwen, Jr. in 1982 in Middletown, NY. 

He earned his First Degree Black Belt (Sho-Dan) in August, 1989, his Second Degree Black Belt in 1999, and Third Degree Black Belt (San-Dan) in February, 2020.

During college at SUNY Albany, he started the SUNYA Aikido Club with Sensei Earl Layumas in 1990.

In October 12, 1992 he opened the Aikido School of Self Defense in the Albany, NY area.  He now teaches classes in Delmar, NY. 

 

Sensei Dave Clarke

Sensei Clarke started in 1998 under Sensei Rick Wolslayer and Sensei Mike Casey.

He began training soon after he enrolled his son (who was in grade school at the time) in Aikido classes.

Dave has continued in his training and has earned his First and Second Degree Black Belt.

Sensei Dave is dedicated to continuous improvement and lifelong learning.

Sensei Jacob Sheingold

Sensei Sheingold has been studying Aikido since he was 10 years old.  He achieved his Junior Black Belt in Kaizen Aikido and is currently working on his Purple Belt certification in Nihon Goshin Aikido.

He has been an assistant instructor for a number of years and teaches the Saturday morning youth Aikido classes.
